The President of Azerbaijan, the President of Israel, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other dignitaries, as well as the heads of international organizations such as UN Women, UNESCO, the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross, sent their messages to the forum in the form of videos or congratulatory letters, expecting that more young people to be mindful of the whole world, actively participate in global governance, and infuse more youthful and diversified youth power into the world's peace, stability and prosperous development.
Participants said that with the rapid development of technology, audio-visual communication has become a bridge connecting different cultures, backgrounds and regions, and youths can easily communicate with people around the world and share their views and experiences, thus promoting the diversified integration of cultures and mutual understanding. Youth also represent the future residents of cities, with unique perspectives on urban planning, design and sustainable development, and can contribute to the prosperity and progress of cities through participation in community projects, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as by proposing ideas for sustainable development. In the face of climate change, which is one of the major challenges facing the world today, young people can communicate the importance of sustainable lifestyles to society through education, innovation and action, inspiring widespread awareness and action.
During the forum, activities such as GYLD Talks, GYLD Photo Exhibition, Award Ceremony for the Top Ten Proposals of the Wisedemo Campaign on International Youth Intelligence Initiative, and the launching of the annual project of the International Youth Audiovisual Communication Program were also held. The forum was hosted by the Center for China and Globalization(CCG) and in partnership with Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University, Yanjing Academy of Peking University and Beijing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. The founder of the program Mabel Lu Miao, Secretary General of CCG, introduced that the GYLD program is to provide a platform for young talents around the world to understand more on China, exchange and learn from each other, and cultivate their leadership and young power for global development.
