On June 1, the Second “China-LAC: Close Friendship Obliterates the Distance” Short Video Contest, sponsored by the China Public Diplomacy Association, was officially launched.

The year 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the proposal of the “China-LAC community with a shared future”. In the past 10 years, China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) countries have made a series of fruitful cooperation.

The Contest, with the theme of “Although separated by mountains and seas, China and the LAC countries are embarking on a new journey with shared goals and vision”, aims to showcase the achievements of cooperation and exchanges between China and the LAC countries in various fields.

The presentation forms include micro-variety shows, Vlogs, micro-dramas, documentaries or others.

Five Gold Awards, 10 Silver Awards, 20 Bronze Awards, several Excellent Organizer Awards, and several Excellent Work Awards will be given.

The Contest will run from June 1, 2024 to August 1, 2024. Participants from China and LAC countries may sign up via the links and agenda below.

The First Contest was successfully held in 2023. Video makers captured the friendship between the two peoples, building a bridge for inter-civilization exchanges through their lenses. With your participation, the Contest of this year will make a louder voice, further promoting cultural integration and mutual understanding between the two regions.
