The first-ever “Z-Leaders Online Forum,” bringing together Generation Zers from prestigious universities worldwide, will kick off on April 9th, 2025, Beijing time.

Centered on climate action, this virtual event will tackle pressing issues related to climate change and ecosystem protection, including marine conservation, public health connections, youth mobilization, and clean energy innovation.

Hu Bin, Associate Professor and Director of Global Climate Governance Research at Tsinghua University's Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development, will deliver a keynote speech on climate challenges and youth-led solutions. His talk will analyze current environmental conditions and highlight opportunities for meaningful action.

Gen-Z leaders from over 20 prestigious universities will participate in dialogue sessions. Representatives from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, UC Berkeley, Columbia University, Oxford, Cambridge, and Paris-Saclay University will share their insights and exchange experiences and ideas on environmental protection.

The forum serves as the cornerstone of “Global Campus Gen-Z Leaders Exchange”, a collaborative initiative jointly launched by the China Public Diplomacy Association, Global Times Online, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University.

This program creates a cross-cultural platform connecting young changemakers through both online and offline engagements.

Following this initial climate-focused event, three additional forums will explore new global industry trends, media culture, and artificial intelligence applications. The program will also invite international participants to visit major Chinese cities.
